Neuropathy refers to damage of nerves or deadening of nerves. This is a nerve disorder. High blood sugar can injure nerve fibers in your body. The most affecting parts are hands & feet. About 60-70% of people with high blood sugar have some form of neuropathy . This is very common in people with poor blood sugar control, overweight, higher level of blood fat and blood pressure.
